Senior LIFE Johnstown Welcomes New Executive Director

ohnstown, PA – Patricia Felton has been appointed to the position of executive director of Senior LIFE Johnstown.

Senior LIFE, located at 401 Broad Street in Johnstown, is part of the national Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), called LIFE in Pennsylvania. The program is funded through Medicare and Medicaid, and brings together a coordinated team of doctors, nurses, social workers and therapists to provide seniors with individualized health care plans and personal care services that help them to remain independent and live in their homes and communities.

Felton’s career includes 19 years of nursing and health management experience and a strong background in leading multi-disciplinary health teams that provide high-quality member-centered care. Most recently, she was the director of the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center at Windber Medical Center.

“My family has personally benefited from the wonderful services that Senior LIFE offers and when the opportunity presented itself, it felt like the perfect fit,” says Felton. “I firmly believe in the philosophy and mission of the LIFE Program and I’m proud to be part of this innovative health model and to work with such a talented team of professionals here at Senior LIFE Johnstown.”

In her spare time, Felton enjoys playing co-ed volleyball and dabbling in photography when she is not attending her children’s sporting events. She also serves as a volunteer board member of the Richland School District Foundation.

Senior LIFE Johnstown serves 193 seniors at the Johnstown center and continues to grow. 99% of participants at the Johnstown center receive services at no cost to them. Senior LIFE’s support services allow family caregivers to maintain their personal and professional commitments while securing safe, quality care for loved ones. To be eligible for Senior LIFE services, seniors must be 55 years of age or older, reside in Cambria County or some areas in Somerset County (refer to www.seniorlifejohnstown.com for complete listing of areas), be determined medically eligible and able to be safely served in the home and community. To receive services at no cost, certain financial qualifications apply. There is also an option to private pay.
